Burger King ★★★

Fast food is not healthy, but some fast food restaurants offer healthier options than others. We’re pleased with the choices Burger King offers. While not ideal, they’re OK for an occasional fast-food outing.

What to Order

Burger King offers two varieties of burgers… their signature Whoppers, and their “regular” burgers, which are significantly healthier.

Like McDonalds, Burger King allows you to special order fries without salt, which is a nice option to round out your meal.

Please bear in mind that most of the items are not healthy. We recommend avoiding meals with a Heart Health SCORE below 75. But for an occasional fast-food meal, these are your best choices.

What to Avoid

Avoid the restaurant’s signature Whopper sandwiches, which have far more saturated fat and sodium than their regular flame-broiled burgers.
